You never know how strong you are until....

As you all know I read for a lot of people. Rich, poor, young, old, there aren't many situations that haven't walked through my doors. I have seen a lot of things in my 20 years of doing this job and nothing shocks me. I can honestly say that it doesn't matter what background you come from or what situation you started out in life, there are two constants that are dominant in all of these things. The first is that no matter what is happening there is ALWAYS something that you can do and the second is that the only way out of a situation is through it. Tantrums happen and I'm all for them. It helps release frustration and pent up rage but once that's done you tend to see people divide themselves into two categories. There are those who use their experiences to build a victim based identity and there are those who use it as a lesson to get their lives together. You have to decide which one of those people you are going to be. If you become a victim every life problem you experience you will tell yourself is someone else's fault. You will seek blame and revenge at any given opportunity. You will revel in the misery of how wrong so many things go. It won't be long before you weaken your energy system so much that you will attract illness and even if you don't you will treat minor injuries like full blown catastrophies. Look, we all know people like this but let's take a moment to make sure that we aren't in danger of stepping into their shoes.

Then you have the people who grow from adversity. We've all heard of Post Traumatic Stress but not many have heard of Post Traumatic Growth. That's when people who have really seen it hit the fan use that experience to alter their lives at a fundamental level and elevate both themselves and those around them. This doesn't mean that they are in any less pain or that their healing is any more resolved it just means that in that moment of absolute emotional despair they have looked at what they CAN do rather than what they couldn't. I have seen mothers who have lost children, husbands who have lost wives and vice versa, I have seen grief that I can barely describe but I have also seen resiliance, strength and the kind of souls who have taken that overwhelming pain and reacted to it instead of letting it take them. There are some clients I think about all the time. I wonder where they got their fight from. I guess it's true that you never know how strong you are until you have to be.

I began my emotional patterning as a victim. I will hold my hand up and be counted. Everything was someone else's fault. Society, culture, government, I always blamed something else for why I wasn't getting what I wanted. I learned through watching my clients that I could make a shift. I learned that the only real failure in life is not seeing the lesson. I learned that we have a responsibility to bring light where ever we go. After seeing the level of pain in some people and that they STILL got up in the morning and lived their lives it made me see how much I was holding myself back. It was my attitude that was getting in my way. There are some clients I think about often. Their strength is so inspiring. I have not only seen people walk through their own personal hell but they have turned it into something wonderful not just for themselves but for others too. You guys are so strong that it lifts me every day. I am grateful for that.

Thank you,

Big Love,
