Just take it one step at a time.
When ever anything huge goes on either in my life or in the world the first thing I know I need to do is forgive. I KNOW it as spiritual principle that the best way I can help anyone and everyone is to open my heart to divine energy. Which, is what forgiveness really is. I also understand the destructive power of anger. I understand and have personally experienced it's rage. Forgiveness completely unravels anger. It creates a space where rage cannot exist. It also stunts our growth in a way that whatever pain has just happened in our lives or in the world can now perpetuate itself. When you completely absolve yourself to being angry you can't grow. When you forgive growth in inevitable.
You don't have to look too far into your life, into the world to see things that can make you feel pain. That pain can last an instant or a lifetime, that choice is yours. That choice depends on how quickly you move to forgiveness. As I have said before forgiveness isn't telling the people that caused the pain that what they did was ok, forgiveness is telling yourself that you are ready to root yourself in the lesson of the experience rather than the pain of it.
So what is the lesson? Who do you need to forgive? What do you need to forgive? What are you learning? To forgive is to root yourself in the strength of your spirit. To remain angry is to keep yourself in the pain. Be kind to yourself.
