Passion is written into our very spirits. It is the feeling place of aliveness and gratitude combined. Passon brings with it drive, determination and the will to surrender to the greatest parts of who you are. But as a culture we have muddied the waters of passion. We have infected it with crippling restraints on our ideas of success and we have made the persuit of our passions synonymous with our jobs or career pursuits. Passion at it's core is free of all those things. Your passion could be anything, it could be many things but one thing is for sure is that a life without it feels empty. I feel so blessed to have been given a gift that can help people in this area. I can see straight into the centre of a persons life force and unravel at the very least a glimpe of their purpose. Sometimes people are born healers, teachers, leaders, mothers, fathers, uplifters of spirit and many more specific things that normally, the second the spirits reveal it through me the client tends to say, “I've always wanted to do that!”.
Most of you already know why you are here on the planet. Most of you have already discovered your passion. The problem is we bury it under layers of obligation and expectation, we judge it and criticize it and demean it before we have even taken the first steps towards embracing it's creation. This is why following what you love to do is so important, it creates an energy around you that helps you give birth to what you have to bring to the planet. What we don't also tend to discuss is how passion can change and evolve. When I was seven I knew I wanted to be a writer, but I've spent the last fifteen years in music, that was where my passion was taking me. These days I enjoy music but I don't have the same fevered launch at it and although it took me off guard a little at first I soon realised that my passion had moved to a new place. I began to write again and discovered the benefit of all those years of song writing had helped me to become a better writer all around. Right now I am passionate about my books and my readings and my art, it may all change tomorrow but the important thing is that I honour what I feel drawn to today.
When we don't allow ourselves to grow along with our passion we can end up inadvertantly binding ourselves to something that no longer serves us. It's not hard to imagine how miserable you would become if your heart is telling you one thing and your mind has you tied to another. “Follow your bliss”. It's written in so many spiritual books these days and there's a good reason, it puts you on your path. It puts you in sync with who you are and it changes everything around you. You passion is the active space of your life force, without it we deplete ourselves and send ourselves on a dark path. Give yourself the gift of your own light, follow what is truly in your heart to follow. If it's to hug your children more, dance with your lover more, painting, writing, selling, making, whatever you feel right in this moment would give you the greatest joy pursue it. You deserve it.
Thank you for listening,
