Last night I woke up at half four in the morning from a horrible nightmare and I couldn't get back to sleep for ages so, I afforded myself a little lay in this morning. I refused to leave the bed until I felt all good thoughts and whilst wondering why I woke feeling so horrible I journalled until it inspired my blog this morning! Rocky sleeping habits are all part and parcel of being a psychic. If you are in any way energetically sensitive to those around you it's likely that you will throw sleep out of the window. We are all connected, we all pick up energy from each other throughout the day. We pick up the content of thoughts, the emotional weight of a person and if we have matching wounds with the people we are around then the energy swap can be a ferocious one. This is why I advocate such strong boundaries when it comes to choosing your friends and the people you hang around with. Even co workers are in direct energy exchange with you so it pays to be fully aware of any exchange that happens.
One of the ways to know if you are absorbing too much negative nonsense is if you are awake at around 4 in the morning regularly. Because during a reading I am sensitive to every emotional and physical pain my client has experienced I can sometimes take on board that energy and because yesterday I was sloppy in my grounding of it ( I usually do a meditation to release anything I might have picked up during the day at the end of the session ) I took the negative energy to bed with me. At 4 o clock every morning your body releases it's negative energy. This is why it's normally an amazing time for creatives to work. Back when I was writing A LOT of songs as a means of catharsis I would regularly be up at this time and it would flow very easily. But if you are carrying too much the release of that energy can be overwhelming or interrupted. Even if you get up to pee at 4 in the morning, it's a sign that there's too much of other people's energetic “stuff” in your system.
The way to correct it and to manage it is quite simple and ultimately is what I talk about most days. Self maintenance. A pinch of salt in your bath at night, a meditation, burning sage incense, a walk along the beach, prayer, all of these things can help you to free yourself of what you have picked up on during the day. If waking at this time is chronic then you may need more prayer to figure out if something deeper is going on but usually what keeps us up is fragments of what we have experienced. I sat up at four, got a small drink of water and decided to Reiki ( heal ) myself until I felt light again and able to drift back off to sleep. My auntie in spirit came and sat on the bed with me and we had a small natter as she helped me to release what I had been too lazy to do earlier in the day. Yes, even I get a telling off from spirit now and again. 4 in the morning can be a time of brutal honesty because everything is clear. Your energy is renewed and refreshed so thoughts and feelings seem more manageable at this time. If you find yourself awake at this time, listen to what's going on in your head. Journal. Unravel whatever personal truth is coming tot he surface and once it's there, have a lovely hot drink and go back to sleep!
Thank you for listening,
Big Love,
