Setting someone free!

One of the hardest lessons I've had to learn in this lifetime is to let go. I love everyone I meet so deeply that friendships, relationships and sometimes even workmates can be hard to say goodbye to. I have tried to understand what the root of that interaction with myself is. I thought that it might be fear of change or maybe even fear of loss but the greatest thing I have ever learned through that interaction is learning to love at arms length. I have learned that you can still love people and they not be present in your life and that your love whether they are here or not is still having an impact on their spiritual journey. I tried so much to numb my connection to that consistent love because of the pain I thought it was bringing me. Turns out it was the fear of that pain that was messing everything up, not the love I felt for people. There are however those times when an interaction with someone, even though you may love them, is so toxic that it needs to be cut away from you. As I've mentioned before in these blogs just because you love someone that doesn't mean that they get access to your life. Filling your heart with love demands that you assert appropriate boundaries for your life.

A long time ago I had a few of these toxic relationships in my life so I used a simple meditative energetic practice to free myself from them. I burned incense, lit candles and called in my spirit guides. Then when my mind was quiet and the energy of the room felt right I visualised cutting any energetic chords between me and the person I was setting free. I visualised them sat infront of me. I asked that their spirit guides be present also so that no harm came to them and that everything was done in the spirit of love and compassion. I kept repeating this process over and over again for a week or two, then I watched as it's dramatic effects took place in my life. I managed to stay loving and centred and freed myself of the inhibiting energy. I have advised this technique to a few of my clients. Especially those who are trying to free themselves from a negative interaction. A lingering ex, an overbearing boss, an antagonistic neighbour, all of these situations can be helped by this technique. Sometimes in the moment of setting someone free in this way you learn why they were in your life in the first place. It can be liberating and it can change you.

So if there is someone in your life right now that you feel you need to use this technique on then I advise you do it with love and compassion. Remember that what you give out you definitely get back so do this with the intention of helping all parties involved. Pray for the other person, send them love and shower them with good intentions. When you visualise cutting the chords wish them well. Sometimes the person will leave your life immediately. Sometimes they will have a personality transplant. Once their spirit knows that you are not accepting this current energy exchange they either have to bring something better or they can't stay around you. Like all powerful techniques they tend to be really simple, so simple that are often overlooked. I just want to remind you that you deserve to be treated well at all times. You deserve an elevated and enlightening life. You deserve to love and to be loved. Most importantly you deserve peace!

Thank you,

Big Love,
