One of the most common questions I get asked is weirdly enough the question I repeatedly asked myself whilst beginning my spiritual journey. How can I find my path? It took me a while to really digest and figure this out. It turns out this particular question has been completely co opted by our culture to mean something completely different from it's original intent. Like most people I got “path” and “Job” completely mixed up. I thought my career and what I was put on the planet to do were the same thing. They aren't. They can line up and that can make life easier in our current cultural structure but it doesn't always. What I also confused was that the very idea of finding my path meant looking externally for something. I labelled my path, my passion, my purpose as things that were external to me. I thought they were things that I would have to find “out there”. Turns out your path, your purpose and your passion are right there with you in this moment. You don't have to go out into the world to find them, you have to find them within yourself and then watch as the world rises to meet you. This doesn't mean that you can sit there on your bum and everything will just turn up. You do have to participate within your own energy.
My path, my purpose and my passion are all expressions of my deepest joy. What I love more than anything is to watch people get what they want. It really is one of the things that brings tears to my eyes. It doesn't matter how they get to where they are, through hard work or if it's just delivered onto their laps I love seeing people reach for the best of themselves and then getting there. This is a part of my deepest joy. Participating in this energy fills my heart with purpose and passion so it only makes sense for me to use that energy as a platform for all of my work. I could use my psychic ability to entertain and to be honest I did that in the beginning. But, it never filled my cup. I never went home feeling like I'd done a good day's work. When the penny dropped that I could use what I have to truly uplift the clients coming to me to more centred,loving, passionate, purposeful expressions of themselves it changed my work forever. I've never looked back. In nearly every reading I do now there is that point where I connect with a client and watch as they allow themselves to see their happiest selves. To be honest a lot of times what I'm bring to the surface are the thoughts they have actively fought against or just plain forgotten about.
We are raised to neglect ourselves in so many ways that sometimes it can take months or even years for the messages I give to “settle in”. When they finally do and when they are acted upon I've seen tremendous shifts and more importantly tremendous joy erupt through peoples lives. Your purpose, your passion, your path are not things that you go out looking for, they are gifts that you give to yourself. When you take the energetic components of your heart and apply them to your life a deep alchemy occurs. You bring an ancient magic to the table that you never knew you had. You don't need to find your path, you're already on it. All you need to do is reconnect with the best parts of it and then dive headfirst into them. You are the bringer of light in your own life. It's all up to you!
