A Loving thing!

What is the most loving thing you can do today? I have started to ask myself this question over the last year and have answered it daily. Sometimes it's treating myself, sometimes it's sharing a hot drink with a friend, sometimes it's listening to a family member grow and learn to respect themselves. Sometimes the most loving thing you can do is let someone go, sometimes you can welcome someone in, the specifics of it can and do change frequently but what I do know for sure is that the more loving you become, the more loving you CAN become. The more I give to others from a place of pure self love and self respect the more room there seems to be in myself to do it.

What is the most loving thing you can do in work? What is the most loving thing you can do in your love life? What is the most loving thing you can do for your home? There are questions that are becoming almost daily mantras for me recently and it really is lighting up the people around me. Running classes, writing daily blogs, sharing paintings, throwing parties, meeting new people, buying presents “just because”, making gifts, making time, really listening, these are all extensions of the love I hold within me. These actions are becoming more prominent because I want to express this love more freely and because it just feels so good to do so.

I know a lot of people are going back to work and there are grumbles and aches and pains after a season of full bellies and families. Why not ask yourself what is the most loving thing you can do for your first day back at work? Even if it's something small like wearing your most comfy socks or taking a comfy pillow to sit on at your desk or even buying someone in work lunch for no reason there will be something you can do to bring that love from your heart and wash it all over your environment. You could take a thank you card or even the remaining chocolates that are never going to get eaten! Take a little time to think how you personally could make your environment more loving? For me today, because I work from home, that answer was simply to have a good clean and rearrange around my home so that when clients visit they are sitting in nice comfortable surroundings. It is for me to create a relaxing creative environment for me to write. It is to relax and replenish so that when work gets in full swing I am rested and ready. None of these are major things and they don't take long really so why not do it?

Big Love
